WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO

Nonprofit Prince George’s County(NONPROFIT PGC) is a robust network of organizations, agencies, businesses, and individuals working to improve the quality of life for people who live in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Collectively, we strive to strengthen and empower nonprofits by building capacity of organizations, providing networking and collaboration opportunities, and advocating for resources.
The mission of the B5 Initiative is to change the behavior and influence the mindset of those who live, work, serve, lead or serve in our community. We believe that the physical environment affects how we behave, for better or worse. By beautifying the town and improving its overall image and cleanliness, we are confident that we will create a renewed sense of community and pride of place.

Services 24/7

Services 24/7 is an online directory for residents of Prince George's County looking for organizations that provide human services from after-school programs, to housing and foreclosure assistance, to veteran services. We serve two purposes:
1)  connecting the citizens of Prince George's County with the resources they need to enhance their quality of life and
2)  connecting the vast human resource of volunteers in our county to nonprofits in order to increase their capacity to serve.

Artistic Empowerment Centers, Inc., or AEC, is a 501(c)3 non-profit performing arts outreach organization focused on healing our community through performing arts programming.

For example, we offer "POWER P. A. C.", an 8-week performing arts summer camp experience where families of children ages 6-12 years old in underserved areas are offered a full day enrichment experience for their children at reasonable rates.   The community is solicited to invest their gifts and talents in many ways.  Our dynamic staff leads the way serving with the Foster Grandparent program providing the opportunity for our senior community to volunteer with our program instilling wisdom and loving discipline, our summer food service program providing free breakfast and lunch daily, local teens serving as Counselors In Training (CIT's) earning community service credits toward graduation as they pour their gifts into our campers, local elected officials sharing meals with the campers answering questions about civic engagement, community resource police officers invited in to share with our campers their role in protecting and serving the community and so much more!  We help the children discover the great history and benefits right in their local community birthing an awareness and a healthy appreciation for these treasures and introducing them to their neighbors who live, work, serve and lead locally.

It is our pleasure to offer affordable, quality, all-inclusive, educational and informative entertainment opportunities to our community. Join us for an upcoming project - you'll be glad you did!
